Alongside our sumptuous home food, the VIITAKKO kitchen staff prides itself on creating both traditional Savo dishes and impressive celebration menus including wedding dinners. Seasonal variety is reflected on the menus, with Christmas buffet as the high point.
The atmospheric main building has restaurant Isä-Karhu (Father Bear) with seats for 60 guests. In the summertime there is a terrace that seats 30 people.
The VIITAKKO open air and forest meals are also renowned. A mobile lean-to kitchen arrives to the spot picked by our client. The man responsible for our delicacies is the wilderness chef Eerikki, who will create a three-course menu over an open fire using Finnish ingredients. There's a tempting alternative for, say, a birthday celebration!
